Cagraray Island also known as the “Patag Island”, is located in Barangay Cagraray, Municipality of Bato, Province of Catanduanes. The word “Patag” is a Filipino as well as Bicol dialect which means flat. `From afar, you will see Cagraray Island with white sand surrounded by some rocks and boulders.
If you are already in the island, you will see some clear water lagoons. If you go further, there you will see the reason why it is called “Patag Island”, a massive flat rock that can accommodate for over a hundred people. Patag Island is like a concert ground with a mini stage.
When it is high tide, you can go to the island riding a boat and if it is low tide, you can cross the water as the sea level is just below the knee.
You can go swimming on the side of the massive rock as well as to the sides of the island. Brgy. Cagraray is a remote place and will take a motorcycle/car ride of about 30 minutes to 1 hour from the town proper. The road to Brgy. Cagraray is not yet concrete.
