Hinik-Hinik Falls

In going to Pandan, travelers must not miss to visit and feel small compared to the 85 meter-high and 150 meter-wide majestic and enchanting waterfalls. A barefoot hop across the little streams, or a climb on the shiny rocks, one can get lost in the wilderness below the lush tall green trees on the way to Hinik-hinik Falls be rejuvenated and soul quenched as trekkers take a dip into its clear icy waters. Derived from the local word “hinik-hinik” which means rain shower fits the name since it is so high it’s like you’re under a heavy rain shower. Hinik-hinik can be reached thru river trekking which as this is situated about 25 kilometers from the town center of Pandan. Travelers will enjoy its beauty and wonder as there are still places on the way to its location that are yet to be discovered as very few tourists are familiar of the place. Trekking guides are available as long as the visit are coordinated with the barangay officials of Barangays Tokio, Porot or San Isidro as these are the barangays responsible for overseeing activities in the area.
